About Me

My name is Julia, and I’m a science fiction and fantasy author who writes books with morally gray characters, dark twists, and lots of witty banter.

I wrote my debut novel Lone Player when I was 17, which won the 2021 Lost Island Press Writing Contest. It was published by Lost Island in 2023, and the sequel Cut Deck was released in 2024. The third and final book is currently in the works.

I’m also passionate about spreading Lyme awareness through my stories. I’ve had chronic Lyme disease and co-infections since I was 6 years old, which has given me a unique perspective that I try to incorporate into my books.

When I’m not writing, you might catch me at a cold beach, playing Breath of the Wild, or on the side of the road, mooing at highland cows.
